ONLINE MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS - MEDITATION 101 CLASS
Meditation is a Wake Up Tool.
Whether you are a beginner or have been meditating for a long time, perhaps you became interested in meditation because of a desire to have more peace in your life or to simply feel better. While that is wonderful, I view meditation as a wake up tool.
What is the meaningful reason we meditate? To guide us back to our True Self and reconnect with our Source. Meditation makes it easier to dissolve ego, connects us with the present moment and is an effective channel for restoring the relationship with our Higher Self (who we truly are).

Meditation Doesn’t Have to Feel Scary.
I often hear resitance from beginners. “Do I need to meditate for several hours a day for it to work?” or “Do I have to be able to sit in perfect lotus to have results?” Let’s first set your mind at ease: the answer to both of these questions is no.
How to Meditate Properly.
Here are a few other ways to ease your mind:
-
If possible, meditate in a dedicated room. If that is unavailable, use any quiet space where you will have privacy for the duration of your sit.
-
Choose a chair and body posture where you are most comfortable. Ideally sit without crossing your arms or legs.
-
Close your eyes, relax, be still and rest in the Silent Emptiness that is Here.
-
Start with 5 minutes a day and work up to 30 minutes or more per day.
-
Preferably you want to aim to meditate every day. (It is better to meditate every day for 5 minutes than every other day for 10 minutes.)
