1. Be willing to let go of pain. This may sound crazy – but many of us unconsciously hold on to pain.
2. The reason we are in human form on planet Earth is to dissolve ego (work off karma) and evolve our Soul. This kind of evolution requires transformation of our perspective and actions.

3. But as we rarely are motivated for change when life is great – through challenging events – we come to long for Freedom from suffering – and if we are lucky – we realize that the only way out of pain - is through ruthless scrutiny of our own ego.
4. Scrutinizing our ego includes unearthing the gift in the painful situation - even when it is obvious that the pain is caused by another person. The gift is whatever we learn about ourselves through the painful event – and this insight changes our perspective – which heals us. Becoming Love is another word for this process.
5. To become Love - we must be committed to extracting our own lesson in the experience - regardless of our perceived responsibility in creating the problem or how little control we had in the outcome. The ultimate goal is the ability to see the difficult situation through the lens of LOVE - which includes empathy and forgiveness for both ourselves and everyone else involved.
6. To find the Loving perspective out of the depths of unbearable pain – we must first process our emotions - until they transform – pass through us - and take with them - the negative view of the memory. Healing changes history!
7. I warmly recommend getting support from a spiritually oriented psychotherapist or psychiatrist. Through one Aha-moment after another - they can help release you from the chains of suffering – permanentely!
8. Once the pain is on the way to healing – we can start exploring what our lesson might be – which requires 100% dedication to the Truth. Not your personal truth or anybody elsés truth – but the underlying Truth. What is Life attempting to teach you? How is Life asking you to change? If you learn the lesson now - this kind of situation will not repeat.
9. Beware that after this particular pain is resolved – and life is great again – as long as we are in human form - there will be other types of pain. Because again – Life is about releasing our karmik load. And sometimes – we may get an ”opportunity” to help someone else release their karmik load by sharing in their pain. Or we may be asked to complete a generational or cultural unresolved karma. It does not really matter ”to whom” a particular challenge ”belongs..” If it comes through our Life – taking on the healing work - is a way of contributing to the evolution of humanity and Consciousness.
10. The ultimate solution to end suffering is Awakening. You can change your relationship to pain by waking up to your True Nature. When it dawns on you what you really are – your identity shifts from the person who is suffering – to the observer of the person in pain. This slight distance will increase over time as your seat in Source deepens and strengthens – and with that also comes increasing ability to be less drowned by Life. In addition to the fact that the more of your karma that is cleared – the smaller your remaining work load – and the longer, stronger and more frequent the peaceful and joyful moments become – until – like in a Sage – Peace is your constant underlying current. Even in the midst of chaos.
